Rooftop Summer Series Concerts

ROOFTOP SUMMER SERIES - a four week run of intimate concerts high above the city in our new SKYDECK. Each week brings a new soundscape from rousing sea shanties, a string quartet re-imagining Brit-pop and classic rock, soulful jazz singers with pianist, and a playful comedic opera performance — all timed to the backdrop of a glowing Indian Ocean sunset.

 

 

 

 

WEEK ONE - WEDNESDAY FEB 18

On Feb 18 as the sun slips away and the city lights flicker to life, the SKYDECK becomes the ultimate stage for a night of Brit Pop charm and classic rock swagger—reimagined with a lush classical twist.

WEEK TWO - WEDNESDAY FEB 25

On Feb 25, as the sun sets the streets of Freo will once again echo the sound of shanties and other songs of the sea as the Lost Quays take to our new SKYDECK to perform. The renowned Lost Quays sea shanty group will bring the deck to life with their rousing, foot-stomping shanties, carrying the spirit of the sea across the night sky. With sell out shows every time they perform in Freo this is not to be missed.

WEEK THREE - WEDNESDAY MAR 11

On March 11 as the sun slips away over the Indian Ocean, the SKYDECK transforms into the coolest rooftop stage in town - perfect for a night of classic and contemporary jazz under the open sky.

Join us just after sunset as the Sweet teas bring silky standards, soulful jazz, and sweet ballads to the skyline.  Picture yourself with a drink in hand, the sky turning deep blue, and the band weaving a beautiful jazz soundtrack for your night out. It’s stylish, it’s playful, and it’s jazz made for golden‑hour magic.

WEEK FOUR - WEDNESDAY MAR 18

As the sun slips below the horizon and the city starts turning on its sparkle, the SKYDECK is about to host the most gloriously over‑the‑top rooftop spectacle of the season. Get ready as the Fringe World Best Cabaret Award 2024 winning operatic duo of Divalicious grace our stage.  

A show of two halves, we will start with “Duelling Diva’s” – a show based on Rock Opera and a a unique combination of fast moving comedy and virtuosic singing.

Second half will feature “High Cs on the High Seas” - a musical odyssey that combines popular classics with a slice of comedy. DivaLicious will give you a sneak peek into the lives of opera singers, complete with drama, diva antics, beautiful voices and their signature irreverent twist. The perfect operatic cocktail, "shaken, not stirred."
